Since our beginnings in 1981 we have been growing, but always kept our original goal in mind.- Client Satisfaction. Our business is built on long term client and supplier relationships with many clients being regular customers since the early 80's. 

1981 Philip Lawry started the business in 1981, the year of the Springbok tour by purchasing the hobby business from a phamacist friend. A large garage was built for the purpose and the fledging business moved in. Then known as PhilPrint, the main market was printing predominantly pharmacy labels.
1983 With the invent of ink jet printers, pharmacies turned to printing their own labels and PhilPrint's main focus changed to general commercial printing and stationary.
August 1988 With the larger client base came more staff and machines, this led to a move to Stewart Street, Addington, Christchurch.
1992 Moved to New Larger Premises to fit an expanding Factory.
1999 Acquired Nicholson Press.
November 2003 The decline of letterheads, invoice books and the like predicted, the business extended it's previous services to offer promotional products under the name of Active Marketing.
2004 Bought Southern Promotions. This enabled us to grow in size in the promotional industry and learn new suppliers and contact.
July 2007 Rebranded to reflect what we do more accurately to Active Print & Promotion.
February 2010 Purchased Award Products making us one of the largest promotional providers in southern New Zealand. We had worked together on marketing projects and sourcing over the years and it made sence to bring it together.

Introduced the Active 3-Way Guarantee

2012 Global trade links were established world wide and a strong network group established including businesses in the industry in UK, Australia, USA. This is a fantastic opportunity for sharing ideas, best practice and proven sources of supply.
2013 Developed our PromoEasyOrder branded merchandise management platform.

We emerged from the GFC in a stronger position with greater market share and we look to the future focused on continuous growth.

Updated our CRM and production systems to go paperless making us far more efficient and streamlined

2018 Moved to modern purpose built business premises creating a fresh working environment and increasing our warehouse capacity.
